Position Description

Integrated Psychological Center of Indiana (IPCI) is expanding from an independent practice to a group practice and is seeking a full-time (25 client hours/week) licensed clinical psychologist to join and provide quality psychotherapy and psychological evaluation services. We provide psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and adults in the form of individual, couple, and family therapy modalities. Given our high volume of referrals for couples therapy and presenting problems related to sexual concerns, ideal candidates will have interest and/or experience providing couples therapy and will be willing to address sexual concerns with clients. Training and supervision can be provided by Dr. Hanzlik with the opportunity to become certified as a sex therapist through AASECT, if interested, but not required. Other highly desired training experience includes conducting psychological evaluations for all age groups, providing trauma treatment, an interest in perinatal mental health, and provision of child therapy. We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, collegial psychologist who has an interest in working in a group practice setting and appreciates connection with other clinicians in a supportive work environment.

The position will be an employee (W2) status, compensation is percentage based on income received, and is paid out bi-weekly. The psychologist will be paneled with Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield. The desired applicant will also have the opportunity to provide supervision to predoctoral trainees completing their practicum at the center.

Integrated Psychological Center of Indiana (IPCI) is an outpatient practice that serves children, adolescents, and adults. We provide a wide range of services including individual, couples, family, and group therapy as well as psychological evaluation services.

IPCI approaches integration from a number of lenses: multiple services are integrated into one center, the goal of successful therapy treatment includes integration of all parts of the self, and treatment can integrate a number of therapeutic approaches. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve a diverse range of clients providing individual, couples, and family therapy (with some potential for group therapy work)
  • 25 billable hours (combination of therapy and/or testing) per week required
  • Must become paneled with Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance provider (credentialing is taken care of by the practice)
  • Complete documentation within 72 hours of seeing the client including progress notes, intake paperwork, treatment plans, and termination notes
  • Schedule and provide psychological assessment feedback sessions no later than 3 weeks after the last testing appointment is held
  • Collaborate with other providers within the group, as needed
  • Correspond with referral sources to coordinate care
  • Maintain case files within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) using TherapyNotes
  • Be responsible for other aspects of client care including returning phone calls in a timely manner, scheduling sessions, and collecting fees at the time of service

Minimum Qualifications

  • Holds a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology and licensed in the state of Indiana with an HSPP designation
  • Demonstrates interest in working in a group private practice setting
  • Demonstrates an interest and ability to increase level of comfort communicating about sexual issues in therapy, regardless of presenting problem, as sexuality and sexual functioning is a part of the self
  • Demonstrates positive and collegial interactions with other clinicians and staff at IPCI as the practice grows

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrates an understanding of, and interest in, diversity issues and clients from all backgrounds
  • Training in, and appreciation of, a variety of theoretical orientations, including process- and insight-oriented approaches, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Gottman Method
  • Training in, and understanding of, trauma-informed treatment
